ITINERARY

Day 1
PULAU TIGA SURVIVOR ISLAND

Pick up at 0700hrs from your hotel lobby and depart to Kuala Penyu Jetty, which located at 120KM away from Kota Kinabalu City, approximately 1hour 30minutes drive. Arrived at Kuala Penyu jetty and followed by speedboat ride to Pulau Tiga Survivor Island. Follow by a visit to “Snake Island” which is not far from the Survivor Island. Have a short walk on the island and pay attention to the surrounding, if you’re lucky, you might get a chance to witness the wild sea snakes with beautiful skin color.

After the visit to Snake Island, we will proceed to Sandspit Island. The beach is long and unspoiled, and the sea water is crystal blue color. After the visit, gear up for your snorkeling session or you can spend the whole afternoon on the survivor island at your own leisure. Lunch is provided.

A visit to Pulau Tiga is incomplete without getting yourselves dipping in the mud volcano. Some people believe that the mud possesses medicinal and therapeutic properties which are good for skin. After the mud bath, walk to the beach and wash off the mud in the sea. Please be extra careful during your walk to the sea as it can be quite slippery. Depart from the island at 1500hrs to Kuala Penyu Jetty. Upon arrival, transfer back to your respective hotel in Kota Kinabalu.

ABOUT PULAU TIGA SURVIVOR ISLAND

PULAU TIGA SURVIVOR ISLAND

Pulau Tiga Survivor Island is a low-lying island about 35 nautical miles southwest of Kota Kinabalu. Pulau Tiga is the largest of three islands within the Pulau Tiga Park (gazetted in 1978). The other two islands are “Kalampunian Damit”, which is the “Sandspit Island” and “Kalampunian Besar”, or better known as “Snake Island”. There are several species of mammals including the Ubiquitous Macaque Monkeys and reptiles such as the large monitor lizards can be found on the island. Interesting birdlife, myriad species of insects and wild orchids can be seen here in Pulau Tiga, making it as a truly wild tropical island. Given its unspoiled environment, it is not surprising that Pulau Tiga was choosen as the location for the first US TV series – “Survivor”.

The beaches here offer powdery white sand and clear, tranquil water. The surrounding reefs are shallow, with healthy corals and high visibility. Pulau Tiga also offers rich variety of marine life to the divers and opens for discovery. “Snake Island” is where you will get the chance to see banded sea snakes. Although venomous, they are shy creatures in the presence of humans. Their striking color and undulating movement though the water are spectacular sights to behold.
