1. The travel services provided by Borneo Calling Tour & Travel Sdn. Bhd. (hereinafter Borneo Calling – the “Company”) and the respective responsibilities and liabilities are outlined and governed by these TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
2. The online submission of the booking request form or via email shall be deemed to constitute the acceptance of the Booking Terms and Conditions and Payment Methods by you, hereby referred as the “Client” (the named person in Booking Enquiry Form, including his / her travelling companions) and shall be an undertaking that he has the authority to act for and on behalf of the persons named on the Booking Enquiry Form for the travel and tour services.
3. The purchase or booking of travel services offered by Borneo Calling constitutes a contractual arrangement between you and Borneo Calling. This also represents your acceptance of the Borneo Calling’s TERMS AND CONDITIONS set out herein.
4. All tours offered by Borneo Calling are quoted in Ringgit Malaysia (MYR) and only valid throughout the validity period stated.
For General Tour
1. All tours quoted by Borneo Calling will be valid for a limited time period of 14 days from the date issued or validity period stated, whichever is earlier. If no confirmation is received with the time period, Borneo Calling reserves the right to re-quote the price of the tour, subject to availability.
2. A 50% deposit is required for booking confirmation and the balance must be paid 01 month prior to tour commencement, or date stated, whichever earlier. Note that bookings are not confirmed nor secure until Borneo Calling receives the deposit payment with proof.
3. For short-term reservation made less than 01 month prior to tour commencement, immediate 100 % full payment required.
4. Borneo Calling reserves the right to release or cancel any bookings being held where the required deposit has not been received by the due date without prior notice.
For Mount Kinabalu Climb Tours:
1. All tours quoted by Borneo Calling including but not limited to booking of climb slots will be valid for a limited time period of 03 days from the date issued. If no confirmation and/or no deposit payment is received within the time period, Borneo Calling reserves the right to re-quote the price of the tour, subject to availability.
2. Deposit payment for Mount Kinabalu packages:
(i) Normal Mount Kinabalu Climb – A 50% deposit is required for booking confirmation and the balance must be paid 02 months prior to tour commencement. Note that bookings are not confirmed nor secured until Borneo Calling receives the deposit payment.
(ii) Mount Kinabalu Via Ferrata Climb – A 75% deposit is required for booking confirmation and the balance must be paid 02 months prior to tour commencement. Note that bookings are not confirmed nor secured until Borneo Calling receives the deposit payment.
3. For short-term reservation made less than 02 months prior to tour commencement, immediate 100 % full payment required.
4. Borneo Calling reserves the right to release or cancel any bookings being held where the required deposit has not been received by the due date without prior notice.
5. Deposit made are strictly No Refund and No Change of Climbing Date. Change of climbers are subject to an amendment service charges of RM 100.00 nett/pax. For Panalaban Join-in Package, change of climbers is subject to an amendment service charge of RM 750.00 nett/pax (Malaysian), and RM 1050.00 nett/pax (International).
6. Any amendments made 60 days prior to the arrival date after full payment made will be subjected to the following:
i) Malaysian changed to International climber > Climber have to pay the difference in rate(s).
ii) International changed to Malaysian climber > Rate(s) will remain.
1. All payments shall be made by cash or via bank-in/telegraphic transfer to our Malaysia bank account in Ringgit Malaysia (MYR). In normal circumstances your local bank will have the facility to convert your local currency to MYR and proceed with the telegraphic transfer in MYR. Bank charges incurred are to be borne by the Guest.

For General Tours:
1. If Borneo Calling receives a booking cancellation prior to the final payment date of your tour commencement date, we will retain your non-refundable deposit, and impose cancellation charges.
Cancellation on / more than (30) days prior arrival : 50% of Total Tour Cost will be charged
Cancellation on (15 – 29) days prior arrival : 75% of Total Tour Cost will be charged
Cancellation on (04 – 14) days prior arrival : 90% of Total Tour Cost will be charged
Cancellation on / less than (03) days prior arrival or No Show : 100% of Total Tour Cost will be charged
2. For tour products or individual components supplied by 3rd parties, e.g. Air Tickets, Hotel/Lodge Bookings, etc, cancellation fees under the terms and conditions of the respective 3rd parties shall apply plus a minimum handling charge of RM50 per service per person.
For Mount Kinabalu Climbing Tours:
1. If Borneo Calling receives a booking cancellation prior to the final payment date of your tour commencement date, we will retain your non-refundable deposit, and impose cancellation charges.

Cancellation on / more than (60) days prior arrival : Deposit will be Forfeited
Cancellation on / less than (01-59) days prior arrival : 100% of Total Tour Cost will be charged
For JOIN-IN Climbing Package:
Cancellation for JOIN-IN climbing packages (sharing guide and transportation): 100% of Total Tour Cost will be charged
2. For tour products or individual components supplied by 3rd parties, e.g. Air Tickets, Hotel/Lodge Bookings, etc, cancellation fees under the terms and conditions of the respective 3rd parties shall apply plus a minimum handling charge of RM50 per service per person.
3. There will be strictly no change of date, no change of name, or cancellations allowed once you made the payment for the promotion and budget climbing package.
4. If you wish to cancel your booking or any part of it (whether is for yourself or relating to any person in your group), the cancellation will only be effective when Borneo Calling receives written confirmation of the cancellation.
1. Borneo Calling provides service as stated in itineraries. Therefore, under no circumstances refund is to be made in respect of accommodations, meals, tours, transport, or any other services not utilized.
2. For Mount Kinabalu Climb Package: There will be NO refund under any circumstances including, but not limited to, summit closure due to bad weather, Act of God, being refused climb by Sabah Parks rangers or mountain guides due to your personal health and well-being, personal reasons, flight cancellation or any other reasons.
3. Any person failing to appear on the day of departure will consider as no show. No refund will be issued.
4. In the event that a refund is required, we will process the eligible refund request within a minimum of thirty (30) days depending on the involved suppliers’ compliances and commitment.
5. Refunds will be processed for the original amount paid by the guest, excluding any non-refundable credit card processing fees / convenient fees charged by the Payment Gateways/Bank/Card Network etc.
6. Borneo Calling Tour will not process any refund request until we received a completed Refund Details Acknowledgement Form from the guest.
1. All passports and visas must be valid at least 06 months from the date of entry into the country destination.
2. It is the client’s responsibility to confirm specific passport and visa requirements, and other immigration requirements with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. Borneo Calling can only provide general information about these matters.
3. Clients must ensure that they have necessary travel documents, vaccination, and health certificates as required by the various authorities of the countries to be visited.
4. Client responsible for the safekeeping of your own passport or any important travel documents during travel. Borneo Calling shall not be liable in the event the client losses the passport for any reason whatsoever during travel.
5. Borneo Calling will not be liable for any expenses, reimbursements, or refund of any tour fares in event that the client is refused entry by immigration authorities into the county of destination for any reason whatsoever.
Borneo Calling Tour & Travel Sdn. Bhd. accept no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by circumstances amounting to “force majeure”.
In these terms, ‘force majeure’ means any event that has an impact on a packaged tour which we or the other operator (where relevant) could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, pilferage, epidemics, pandemics, forced quarantine, medical or customs regulations, fire, storm, flood, explosion, compliance with any law or government restraint order, rule regulation, strikes, lockouts, or any other cause not reasonably within the control of our control.
Borneo Calling reserve the right to cancel, amend or reschedule the affected tour during or following any force majeure and will have no liability for any direct or indirect consequences of the cancellation, amendment, or rescheduling.
1. For special dietary requests, Borneo Calling Tour is happy to assist but cannot guarantee this requirement can always be met. In tour packages where meals are served buffet/set menu style, we suggest that you leave out the meat or other things you do not eat.
2. As some tour packages might incorporate active elements such as hiking or scuba diving; it is the client’s responsibility to inform us at the time of booking, any existing physical or mental illness, disability, pregnancy, or any other condition which may create a health hazard for yourself or others during the tour or for which you may require medical attention or special care during the tour. Borneo Calling will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your needs, but you must notify us at the time of booking for a determination of what assistance we can reasonably provide.
3. Borneo Calling reserves the right to decline acceptance of anyone who we consider unsuitable due to fitness level as some tours require a fair degree of physical fitness.
1. Borneo Calling claims no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness, or schedule change due to weather, strike, natural disaster, pandemic, or any other cause beyond our control.
2. Borneo Calling or it’s supplier reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries, or departure times, should the necessity arise due to unforeseen circumstances. Arrangements of the similar standard will be substituted, should it occur.
3. We therefore strongly recommend all our clients to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies.
1. All clients are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive personal travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that might occur during the vacation.
2. It is recommended to purchase travel insurance policies that cover personal injury, death, medical and repatriation costs in the countries which you intend to visit, together with cover for loss of baggage and valuables, personal liability, delay, cancellation, curtailment, and missed departure.
As our client, you are responsible for
THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS: Borneo Calling Tour makes arrangements with hotels and other accommodation providers, coach companies, transfer operators, tour operators, local guides, activity providers, and other independent parties (“Third Party Suppliers”) to provide you with some or all of the components of your booking. We take great care in selecting Third Party Suppliers, but we do not supervise or control these suppliers and cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions.
In the absence of our own negligence, we shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitution of equipment; loss or damage to baggage or property; injury, illness, or death; or any claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising out of inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment, distress or frustration, whether physical or mental, resulting from the any act, omission, error or negligence whatsoever by “Third Party Suppliers” and/or other persons providing any of the services and accommodations to travelers, not our direct employee or under our exclusive control.
The Company reserves the right to update and/or amend the above TERMS & CONDITIONS at anytime without prior notice. The latest terms and conditions can always be found on the Company website and will supersede any previous versions.
