Transportation Overtime Charges [MYR 80 per transport/way] will be apply for : Pick up from airport/hotel in Kota Kinabalu city to Kinabalu Park/Poring Hot Spring after 6pm on climbing date (Day 1) AND transfer depart from Kinabalu Park HQ to Kota Kinabalu city after 7pm on the descent day due to climber late arrival.
About Drinking Water / Hot Water
Balsam Cafe & Laban Rata Restaurant are no longer provide hot water/drinking water for climbers. Mineral water is available for purchase at the grocery counter – MYR 7 for 500ml / MYR 14 for 1.5 liters. Coffee & Tea will only be provided during Breakfast Hour and Supper
New Lunch Menu in Balsam Cafe, Kinabalu Park
Effective 1 February 2019, please be informed that there will no longer be serving buffet lunch at Balsam Café in Kinabalu Park. New lunch concept will be introduce, which is Semi Buffet Lunch. The appetizers, soup and desserts will remain buffet style. However, for the main dish, climbers can choose from six (6) types of main dishes.
No Heated Shower
The power supply in Panalaban comes from a generator set and shared among all the accommodations in Panalaban, thus, the available generated electricity is very limited. As a result, hot shower is not available at all mountain hut.

ITINERARY
Complimentary Day Tour
Pick up at 0800hrs from your hotel lobby in Kota Kinabalu city or airport. Take approximately 1hour 30minutes drive to Pekan Nabalu, which located at 73KM away from KK town, where you can get various local products, fruits, home grown vegetables and handicraft souvenirs. Continue your journey to Kinabalu Park for pre-climb registration. [Passports/Original Identification are required for verification during registration]. Do expect some short waiting time, as there might be a long queue for registration. After registration, proceed to place of interest like Poring Hot Spring (for Hot Sulphur Spring Bath and Tree Top Canopy Walk), Desa Cattle Dairy Farm (fresh milk and yummy ice-cream) etc. Lunch at own expenses. Check in Kinabalu Park.
** Complimentary day tour on Day 1 applied to tours start at 8am. Any tour commenced after 8am due to late arrival will results in missing some visiting spots, subject to actual day’s schedule**
Ascent: Ranau Trail
Wake up at 1.30 am and gear up. Supper start serving from 2 am to 3.30 am, at Laban Rata Restaurant. Start your journey towards the Summit of Low’s Peak @ 4095.2m with your assigned Mountain Guide. Cut-off time for Sayat-Sayat Check Point is 5.30 am (Climbers who arrive at Sayat- Sayat Check Point after 5.30 am will not be allowed to proceed with summit climb). Experience the glorious sunrise over the majestic Mount Kinabalu. Take beautiful photos at the summit plateau before descending to Laban Rata for a well-earned breakfast.
Recuperate from the 11+ hrs day, have a well-deserved rest or just enjoy watching the therapeutic mountain scenery from Laban Rata restaurant’s balcony. Lunch will be served here as well. Free at own leisure.
After dinner, overnight at Laban Rata Resthouse (unisex shared dormitory).
If you failed to summit during the first attempt, you may try again or simply relax at the rest house.
Check out and trek down to Timpohon Gate. Take the Park’s shuttle transfer – KOKTAS, from Timpohon Gate to Kinabalu Park’s Headquarter. Enjoy your late lunch (start serving from 12 pm to 4.30 pm) at Balsam Cafe. Lunch will be converted to packed lunch for climbers who arrived late at the park.
CONGRATULATIONS! You can now collect your Certificate of Achievement from our team. Transfer back to your hotel at Kota Kinabalu, takes approximately 2 hours.

ACCOMMODATION
Laban Rata Resthouse (3272 meters above sea level) is the biggest mountain hut among the others, and also where the restaurant and grocery shop located at. Here is the final pitstop before ascending to the summit of Low’s Peak, providing climbers with comfortable lodgings and hot meals. There are four types of room available here, which is Private Room 1, Private Room 2, Private Room 3, and non-heated unisex dormitory rooms. Laban Rata’s private rooms are all equipped with en-suite bathroom, heated shower, and room heater. Non-Heated Dormitory bunk bedrooms come with common bathrooms and toilets, without any heated shower or room heater. Pillows and blankets are provided.
