Transportation Overtime Charges [MYR 80 per transport/way] will be apply for : Transfer depart from Kinabalu Park HQ to Kota Kinabalu city after 7pm on the descent day due to climber late arrival.
Outskirt Hotels Pick-Up and Drop Off Surcharge
There is additional charges for hotel pick up outside the city: MYR 30 per person for pick up from Beringgis Beach Resort, Langkah Syabas Beach Resort, Rasa Ria Resort, Karambunai Area, Kinarut Area etc.

Once your climbing slots are being confirmed, a copy of MYKAD or PASSPORT must be submitted within the same day and full payment must be made in order to secure the slots.
Reservation will be cancelled without notice if there is no payment made within the stipulated time.

About Drinking Water / Hot Water
Laban Rata Restaurant are no longer provide hot water/drinking water for climbers. Mineral water is available for purchase at the grocery counter – MYR 7 for 500ml / MYR 14 for 1.5 liters. Coffee & Tea will only be provided during Breakfast Hour and Supper
Pick up from your hotel at Kota Kinabalu at 6.30am. Take approximately 2 hours drive to Kinabalu Park Headquarter for registration. [Passports/Original Identification are required for verification during registration].
After registration, collect your individual packed lunch and meet your mountain guide [Wear your Climbing Tag at all times]. Unneeded luggage can be store at Sutera Sanctuary Lodge’s reception counter at MYR 12 per luggage at own expenses. You may engage porter at Kinabalu Park. Porter fees are paid directly to the porter at MYR 13.00/kg (Timpohon Gate > Laban Rata > Timpohon Gate). Transfer to Timpohon Gate together with your mountain guide. Start your adventure of 6KM trekking to Panalaban.
Overnight at Panalaban Hostel (unisex shared room with basic facilities). Dinner start serving at 4.30pm until 7pm, at Laban Rata Restaurant. Enjoy your day!
Wake up at 1.30am and gear up. Supper start serving from 2am to 3.30am, at Laban Rata Restaurant. Start your journey towards the Summit of Low’s Peak @ 4095.2m with your assigned Mountain Guide. Cut-off time for Sayat-Sayat Check Point is 5.30am (Climbers who arrive at Sayat- Sayat Check Point after 5.30am will not allowed to proceed with summit climb). Experience the glorious sunrise over the majestic Mount Kinabalu. Take beautiful photos at the summit plateau before descend to Laban Rata for a well earned breakfast. Check out and trek down to Timpohon Gate.
Take the Park’s shuttle transfer – KOKTAS, from Timpohon Gate to Kinabalu Park’s Headquarter. Enjoy your late lunch at Panataran Restaurant before heading back to the city.
CONGRATULATIONS! You can now collect your Certificate of Achievement from our team. Transfer back to your hotel at Kota Kinabalu, takes approximately 2 hours.
If you simply can’t beat the over packing habit or wish to have a comfortable journey, hire a porter. You’re going to need one. But this is fully optional depends on individual.

Accommodations on the mountain are humbly decorated and only supply the basic facilities to climbers. Hence, do not expect for hotel conditions. All mountain huts are quite similar; most of the rooms are non-heated unisex shared room with blankets and pillows. Climbers require to stay overnight at one of the mountain huts before ascending to the summit early in the next morning. If you don’t have a bed to stay, you are not allowed to climb! The carrying capacity on the mountain is very limited.
There are few mountain huts available on Mount Kinabalu which has to book months in advance as it can be full especially during peak seasons. Therefore, you have to pre-book the accommodation! Panalaban Hostel is newly built two-block hostel near to Laban Rata Resthouse and open for all climbers!
Panalaban Hostel is two newly built hostel located not far from Laban Rata Rest House. It takes few minutes short distance walk from the restaurant. Panalaban Hostel is the newest mountain hut with basic facilities; it consists of two blocks, named Mokodau and Kinateki, at Panalaban – Mount Kinabalu. Each block equipped with non-heated unisex shared rooms which can accommodate 25 climbers each. All beds come with blankets and pillows. Common bathroom are provided but dining facilities are not available here.
