The prices shown are quoted based on the current Sabah Park’s Fee (permit, insurance, entrance, mountain guide fee) which are payable to Sabah Park. If there are any price increment imposed by Sabah Park, climbers with arrivals starting from 1st Jan 2024 onwards are required to top up the price differences. REMARKS:

  • Climbers below 16 years old are considered as CHILD and compulsory to have a private mountain guide (Maximum shared by 2 children / Guide). Mountain Guide Fee – MYR 350/Guide.
  • Accommodation assigned based on run-of-house basis by the lodge.
  • Transportation arrangement is based on the number of person in your group.
  • Outskirt Hotels Pick-Up and Drop Off Surcharge: There are additional charges for hotel pick up outside the city: MYR 30 per person for pick up from Beringgis Beach Resort, Langkah Syabas Beach Resort, Rasa Ria Resort, Karambunai Area, Kinarut Area, etc.
  • Transportation Overtime Charges:
    Transportation Overtime Charges [MYR 80 per transport/way] will be applied for: Pick up from airport/hotel in Kota Kinabalu city to Kinabalu Park/Poring Hot Spring after 6 pm on the climbing date (Day 1) AND transfer depart from Kinabalu Park HQ to Kota Kinabalu city after 7 pm on the descend day due to climbers late arrival.   • Federal Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia has imposed a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX) effective from September 2017. Foreign tourists are required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of the hotel star level. The tax will be collected from every check-in guest directly at the resort/hotel which is not included in the package.

About Drinking Water / Hot Water
UV filtered drinking water available at Laban Rata restaurant area. Mineral water available for purchase at the grocery counter – MYR 7 for 500ml / MYR 14 for 1.5 liters. Coffee & Tea will only be provided during Breakfast Hour and Supper. The cost for one mug of hot water at the restaurant is RM1.5, but there is also FOC hot water available at the building nearby. (Price subject to change without prior notice).

Please be informed that Balsam Café is currently under renovation, all meals will be served at Liwagu Restaurant. 

Scheduled Power Supply & No Heated Shower/Room Heater
The power supply in Laban Rata comes from a generator set and thus, the available generated electricity is very limited. As a result, there are scheduled power supply (available from 5pm-8pm & 1am to 3.30am daily). Hot shower and room heater is not available.

HP Charging 
Charging outlet is not available inside the room, but charging points can be found at Laban Rata Resthouse’s reception counter. It would be much more convenient to carry a power bank with you.

Friendly Note for Vegan/Vegetarian Climbers: If you’re a vegan/vegetarian climber, we strongly recommend you to pack some snacks, protein shake, nuts, chips, nutrition bars or anything you like with you as the food provide might not able to fulfill individual diet/nutrition needs. Most of the meals are served in simple buffet style, we would suggest for you to pick on dishes that cater to your needs.

  1. Not recommended to bring valuable items with you.
  2. The safekeeping of your personal belongings is at your own responsibility.
  3. Original passport or identity card is required for verification during the registration process.
  4. Extra luggage/belonging that you don’t wish to bring with you for mountain climbing can be kept at Sutera Sanctuary Lodges reception office (RM12/luggage).
  5. You may hire a porter to carry your backpack at Park HQ. Payments will be made directly to the porter by cash.
  6. Make sure your passport has at least 6 months to run from your time of entry into Malaysia.
  7. Please bring your personal toiletries with you as Laban Rata Resthouse do not provide any toiletries for climbers.
  8. After commencement of tour service there will be no refund in part or full will be made for unused service/activity.
  9. We will not be held liable for any delay, additional expenses of inconvenience which may be caused by directly or indirectly by events outside of the company control, such as late arrival of domestic or international flights, civil disturbances, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, act of God, act of Government, or the failure of any machinery or equipment.
  10. In the unlikely event such as bad weather conditions, the local authority (Sabah Park) withholds the rights to cancel the summit climb, no refund in part or full will be given.
  11. We cannot be held responsible, or in any liable, for any injury, property losses, accident, or damage incurred for any reason whatsoever, whether through activity booked through us or caused to you by third parties, during your stay or during participation in any activity.
  12. Strongly recommend that all guests take up adequate personal travel insurance before the trip commences.
  13. Guests must advise any disability requiring special attention or dietary request at the time the reservation is made. We will do our best to accommodate the special needs request, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so nor responsible for any denial of services by, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers.

Complimentary Day Tour

Pick up at 0800hrs from your hotel lobby in Kota Kinabalu city or airport and start your 3D2N Mount Kinabalu Package. Take approximately 1hour 30minutes drive to Pekan Nabalu, which located at 73KM away from KK town, where you can get various local products, fruits, home grown vegetables and handicraft souvenirs. Continue your journey to Kinabalu Park for pre-climb registration. [Passports (International)/Original Identification Card (Malaysian) are required for verification during registration]. Do expect some short waiting time, as there might be a long queue for registration. After registration, proceed to Desa Dairy Farm (for fresh milk, yogurt and yummy ice-cream).  Lunch at own expenses. Check in Poring Hotspring / Kinabalu Park at 3pm. Free & easy. Dinner will be served at the lodge restaurant. 

** Complimentary day tour on Day 1 applied to tours start at 8am. Any tour commenced after 8am due to late arrival will results in missing some visiting spots, subject to actual day’s schedule**

Poring > Kinabalu Park > Laban Rata Resthouse

Wake up and breakfast. After breakfast, follow shuttle van from Poring Hotspring to Kinabalu Park (approximately 1 hour land transfer depends on traffic condition on actual day). Once arrive at Kinabalu Park, collect your individual packed lunch and meet your mountain guide [Wear your Climbing Tag at all times]. Unneeded luggage can be store at Sutera Sanctuary Lodge’s reception counter at MYR 12 per luggage at own expenses. You may engage porter at Kinabalu Park. Porter fees are paid directly to the porter at MYR 14.00/kg (Timpohon Gate > Laban Rata > Timpohon Gate). Transfer to Timpohon Gate together with your mountain guide. Start your adventure of 6KM trekking to Panalaban.

Arrived and overnight at Laban Rata Resthouse (unisex shared dormitory). Dinner start serving at 4.30pm until 7pm, at Laban Rata Restaurant. Enjoy your day!

Laban Rata Resthouse > Low’s Peak > Kinabalu Park HQ > Kota Kinabalu

Wake up at 1.30am and gear up. Supper start serving from 2am to 3.30am, at Laban Rata Restaurant. Start your journey towards the Summit of Low’s Peak @ 4095.2m with your assigned Mountain Guide. Cut-off time for Sayat-Sayat Check Point is 5.30am (Climbers who arrive at Sayat- Sayat Check Point after 5.30am will not allowed to proceed with summit climb). Experience the glorious sunrise over the majestic Mount Kinabalu. Take beautiful photos at the summit plateau before descend to Laban Rata for a well earned breakfast. Check out and trek down to Timpohon Gate.

Take the Park’s shuttle transfer – KOKTAS, from Timpohon Gate to Kinabalu Park’s Headquarter. Enjoy your late lunch (start serving from 12pm to 4.30pm) at Balsam Cafe. Lunch will be converted to packed lunch for climbers who arrived late at the park.

CONGRATULATIONS! You can now collect your Certificate of Achievement from our team. Transfer back to your hotel at Kota Kinabalu, takes approximately 2 hours and here comes the end of your 3D2N Mount Kinabalu Package.

How much is the cost?

Porter service is fully optional depends on individual. Due to number of porters are reducing, your mountain guide might also act as your porter (depends on the availability of porter during the actual day).

Situated in lowland rainforest, contrasting with the montane and submontane rainforest of Kinabalu Park, Poring is well know for its natural hot spring bath. Poring Hot Spring offer comfortable stay for visitors from budget hostel to beautiful lodges and luxurious villas. The accommodation units have all the necessary facilities needed. There is a restaurant (Rainforest Restaurant) in Poring serve Western Asian cuisine and local delicacies.

Laban Rata Resthouse (3272 meters above sea level) is the biggest mountain hut among the others, and also where the restaurant and grocery shop located at. Here is the final pitstop before ascending to the summit of Low’s Peak, providing climbers with comfortable lodgings and hot meals. There are four types of room available here, which is Private Room 1, Private Room 2, Private Room 3, and non-heated unisex dormitory rooms. Laban Rata’s private rooms are all equipped with en-suite bathroom, but NO heated shower, and room heater due to scheduled and limited power supply. Non-Heated Dormitory bunk bedrooms come with common bathrooms and toilets, without any heated shower or room heater. Pillows and blankets are provided.
